I don't fancy myself a philosopher, nor do I think of myself as a theologian. I am neither historian nor apologist. I'm just an average Mormon guy who likes to write about his religious beliefs.

My own writings on this web site are from my blogs, Some Mormon Stuff and Response to Damon Linker. From time to time I will add more.

Mormons try to avoid speaking about doctrine in a way that sounds too authoritative. Such things are reserved for General Authorities. I suppose by writing on topical subjects I have gone outside of the LDS comfort zone. Though I don't intend my writings to be presumptuous, I suppose to some extent they are.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and salvation comes by "relying wholly upon the merits of [Christ]" and pressing forward with a "steadfastness in Christ" (2 Nephi 31:19-20).

I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's only true and living church on the earth. Restored to us in these latter days.
